The DEAI ALLiance of Northwest Ohio began forming in May 2022 after Toledo’s 1st
Annual Diversity Employment Career Fair. The event was largely successful, but the
organizers agreed that it was clear that more work was necessary to make Toledo a
better, more inclusive place to work and do business.

A committee was created, and meetings were held monthly throughout the year until
now. The ALLiance is made up of DEAI professionals from the Northwest Ohio area who
represent public and private organizations.

OUR MISSION
DEAI ALLiance of Northwest Ohio’s mission is to lead our community and region in
implementing solution-oriented and sustainable practices for workforce development and minority suppliers through oversight, collaboration, and connection.

OUR VISION
We aim to be the premier trusted advisors in creating connections, opportunities, and
solutions to address existing goals and DEI principles. We will be the driver of
organizational accountability and sustainability to diversify workforce development.
